Ha, mein erstes englisches Gedicht When I saw you first My heart was beating fast I got nervous on the inside But remained calm on the outside Like I always did. You were smart You were strong You knew just what to do But most of all You were beautiful. Over the years My heart got cold But because of you The ice melted. I never showed much emotion But around you I wanted to proof That I could smile. We were never much more than friends Although I wished it would be more But I knew it couldn’t be. I had a secret Something I had to do Even if I didn’t want to. I saw your pained look When I deceived you. It pained me, too But I couldn’t show you. Now I’m here alone and think about you.
