Any chance we might see in the future a SPU plugin that uses XAudio 2 instead of Directsound and/or an SPU plugin that uses PulseAudio instead of OSS/ALSA?

Just out of couriosity:
What's the advantage of having Xaudio2 over DirectSound?

I recently read Xaudio2 has lower latencies, can anybody confirm this?

Also, it seems with Xaudio2, you have no hardware-support using a creative X-Fi soundcard, so CPU-Usage might be higher using Xaudio 2?
