Und? Habt ihr "The Host" schon durch? Wenn ja, wie gefällt es euch? Kann man es mit Twilight vergleichen?

also ich bin noch nicht ganz durch (~bei der hälfte) aber mir gefällts richtig gut.
Es gibt schon eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit zu Twilight, immerhin geht es wieder um eine liebe zwischen zwei verschiedenen welten. und wieder gibt es viele verschiedene charaktere zum lieben und hassen.

ich kann nicht sagen, ob the host jetzt besser oder schlechter als twilight ist, denn beides hat was.
auf jeden fall hoffe ich, dass fortsetzungen folgen.

You believe all vampires are inherently hot. You download every song from Stephenie Meyers playlist to listen to them. You dream about it every night. You want to go to Forks. You squeal every time you see a silver Volvo. You cringe whenever you hear/see then name Edward or Bella name and it has nothing to do with Stephenie Meyer.You quote lines from the books for use in your everyday speech. You refer to your ideal man as an "Edward." A love song comes on and you immediately think of Edward and Bella. You have bought t-shirts from twilightteez.com. You relate even the weirdest things to the book. You carry the books with you. You think you can feel Edward beside you while you're reading. You talk out loud about it with no one around.You stay locked in your room or bathroom reading.You start talking to the book. also ich muss sagen ich hab an des buch SEHR hohe erwartungen gehabt und bin zum glück nicht enttäuscht worden^^
ich find zwar twilight immer noch besser, aber nachdem ich mit the host durch war wollt ichs sofort noch mal lesen*g*

the host hat mich auch total zum nachdenken gebracht...ich weiß auch nicht ich find s.m. bringt da alle verschiedenen arten von liebe mit rein. so was in der art sagt glaub ich wanda auch mal, also das sie halt die liebe von jamie hat, für die sie eigentlich nichts tun musste. und die liebe von ian, die sie sich halt erkämpft hat und natürlich die liebe von jared, die wahrscheinlich am schwiereigsten ist weil jared ja eigentlich melanie liebt...
meine lieblingsfigur is aber auf jeden fall ian, obwohl ich gern nochmehr von der zeit erfahren würd als jared, melanie und jamie sich alle kennengelernt haben.

nur das ende nervt mich ein bisschen, wil ich jetzt wieder hoffen muss das sm ggaaaaaaaaaaaaaanz schnell weiterschreibt*g*

Soo..hab das buch jetzt auch durch
also ich finds eig ziemlich gut...
hatte halt anfangs so vorurteil gegen außerirdische und so, aber sm hat das so gut geschrieben, und die story hat mich auch gewissermaßen gefesselt...

okay, jetzt bin ich fertig

alsooo... das buch ist nun offiziell nach twilight mein absolutes lieblingsbuch.
es ist sehr abwechslungsreich, hat von allem etwas (romance, drama, abenteuer,..)
und total verliebt hab ich mich in ian
stephenie weiß es echt, ihre fiktionalen figuren zu absoluten mädchenschwärmen zu machen.

Also, ich weiß nicht wie Stephenie Meyer das macht, aber man wird immer so in ihre Welten mir reingezogen, dass ich jetzt immer genau in die Augen der Leute gucke...

Es ist wirklich gut... obwohl ich ein Interview von Stephenie nicht ganz verstanden habe.. da sagt glaube die Interviewerin, dass man das Ende nicht ganz erwartet hat... aber das hat man doch oder?

The ending of this novel changed quite a bit from what I intended. I outlined a different ending, but that path became obsolete as some of the characters evolved in ways I wasn’t expecting—in particular, one character who was supposed to be no more than a minor bad guy but who somehow managed to become the lynch pin character in the dénouement."

Ich war auch hellauf begeistert! Ich würde es auch nicht als "schlechter" als Twilight bezeichnen. Beide sind sehr gute Bücher und ich finde, in "The Host" ist auch noch ein philosophischer Hintergrund. Es wird gezeigt, dass wir Menschen eigentlich ziemlich viel Mist bauen, durch unsere ausgeprägte Gefühlswelt. E war so interessant, sich durch die Augen eines Aliens zu sehen. Und irgendwie sind die Souls schon besser als die Menschen... wobei ich schwanke. Beide haben ihre Fehler... Ich hatte riesige Angst vor dem Ende, weil ich Wanda und Melanie so sehr mochte. Ich wollte, dass es bleibt, wie es ist, aber sich doch ändert und das... war irgendwie kompliziert zu machen^^

Tja.. Nichts ist unmöglich - Stephenie Meyer
Ich muss sagen, dass ich auf dieses Ende gehofft, es aber nicht erwartet hätte, nachdem Wanda rigoros abgelehnt hatte, sich "umpflanzen" zu lassen. Und das meinte wohl auch die Interviewerin.

Ein geniales Buch, das ich wirklich nur empfehlen kann. Achja, und die verschiedenen Arten von Liebe haben mich auch fasziniert. Eben die Beschreibung der menschlichen Gefühlswelt. Man erlebt sie täglich, aber erst durch ein Buch wird einem bewusst, wie sehr man doch durch eine Vielfalt von Eindrücken und Gefühlen bestimmt wird.
