Interview with Carlos (Mindly Rotten)  From left to right: Duvernan Velásquez - Drums Mauricio Gallon – Guitars and Vocals Carlos Fisgativa - Bass and Vocals Timo: Hi Carlos! What’s up? Hope all things are going well with Mindly Rotten? At the beginning, for those who don’t know you yet, tell us some informations about the history of Mindly Rotten and the current Line-up!? Carlos: Hi Timo. everything is going for us, we hope the same by yours. All right to start with interview: minldy rotten started playing at latter 2003 at armenia, Quindio. Mauricio have played before with duver in their own project. They quiet playing together for some months and then I meet mauricio and we play two months thogeter with and unfortunated project that did not grow.so we leave that band and decided to star playing with just one guitarrist.and To look for a drummer for our new project.we did not look to much the one we need was Duver, I knew him at a loca l concert that used to be called armenia death fest…. We started playing togheter two days before that,on december 2. we have keep this line up. Timo: Did anyone of you play in other bands beside Mindly Rotten? Carlos: not full time playing. our drummer have been reshearseling sometimes with luciferian,a very fast black metal band. Mauricio have played some live shows with blaze inside,near friends of us,and also a really grinder and killer band, and he use to make aarangements for some bands askin requesting him about it. but our main project is mindly rotten.so we play first that all thogether.all other projects are secondary Timo: Your Debut Album “The Most Exquisite Agonies” is really great! Are you satisfied with it? How are the reactions on this Album? What did you release before your Debut Album (Demos for example) and what can we expect in the future, will there be new stuff? Carlos: .we rcorde five osngs demo,but I was not released to the public, we were just strating playing( 3 months after starting) thogeter and developing our own style. About “the most exquisite agonies”, yes we are very satisfied and proud the way it sound, really fast ,really grinding,too heavy for ears. Instead of being a short time since release on october 2005, nowadays just four months, and instead of release limited to 1000 cds,it have been heard and distributed in all united states, the most of europe and also at japan.people who have take the time to e mail us like the way our music sounds and all them want to get new stuff from mindly rotten.all other people I don’t know what think or feel about us. For the future ……. We have now started writing new stuff.we want release mcd before the end of this year. But we need to finishing songs first and the to look for a deal Timo: Which Bands do you think influence the sound of Mindly Rotten? How would you describe your own sound? Carlos: Among our influences are bands likes Brodequin,pustulated,Internal Suffering, Necrophagist, Severed Savior, Blaze Inside,Carnal,Disavowed, Deeds of Flesh, Dying Fetus. The We are looking to sound is za very intense and fast grind, full of density.but all with some technic arrangement and solos and a little bit o slamming parts. Timo: How came it to the deal with Grind Syndrome Records? Are you happy with their work? Will your next CDs also come out on Grind Syndrome Records? Carlos: We contact andres usma and we send him some promotional suffs and video, he liked the way we work and inmediatly we started working togheter. Yeah we are very happy about the way grind syndrome have bring us all support, the label made ans is still making a very good promotional and dsitro work,and also make al easier to release our cd before planned, it was scheduled t o be released on december 2005,but thanks to andres usma hard work it was released on october 2005. Timo: You are also on “A Bombardment From The Southern Paradise”, The Colombian Brutal Death Metal Compilation, with the song “Mindly Rotten”. It’s a Compilation of Brutal Death Metal Bands from Colombia, like the name told us, released from Mutilated Records and Goregiastic Records, right? How came it to your contribution on this sampler? Did you re-record “Mindly Rotten” for “The Most Exquisite Agonies”? Carlos: we made a home recording to be part of that compilation, we want to be heard for people all around the world,the quality of sound was no the best but the song was also fucking damaged from factory; I want also to say to all people who have heard that compilation and our fucking damaged song to go to our web site and download the version we recorded without damaged or breaks,and also to say sorry!!!!!!! It was not our fault, and neither labels fault. About mutilated records and goregiastic records they are really friend of us. I knew Diego mutilated along time ago, and staff at goregiastic are our friends too and have gave us all their support. We re –recorded our homonimus song for the Most Exquisites Agonies, it was the chance to show grinders how we really sound,because the song for compilation have drum machine. Timo: Where did Mindly Rotten play concerts until now? When will you come to Europe or Germany to play here? Would be sick… Carlos: we have played in some citys in colombia, two o three times on some of them,and also on small towns. Cali, neiva, bogota, palmira,calarca, caicedonia (butchery’s fields… a very small town where we use to play and to rehearse), and lot of killersshows at Armenia, includin a gig with suffocation. Our proyects for this year includes more shows nationwide,but we want to go to play outside our country soon,first to south america….. about europe and germany we wan to go there and grind all you brains!!!!!!! going to europe will be killer!!!!!!!!! But we are plannig release new stuff first to let people know more about us, and so we hope some promoters to get intrested. we are anew band but we want to show grinders all around the world all we can do with our music. Timo: The sick Coverartwork of “The Most Exquisite Agonies” is from George Prasinis, who did also Coverartwork of for example Spawn Of Possession or Extreme Violence. Did his work hit your imaginations of the Cover for your Album? Carlos: george prasinis is very nice man,and helped us a lot,his artworks are very killer and very profesional, the artwork for the most exquisite agonies met what we wanted to show: the pleasure of longest agonies, the rejoice of our own destrucion. Timo: From Colombia are many great Brutal Death Metal Bands! How is the Colombian scene at the moment? Can you commend some good bands from there? Carlos: Colombian death metal scene is becoming well know around the world thanks to bands such as internal suffering, purulent, carnal, amputated genitals, ancient necropsy, masacre and more. About killer bands they are lot: mental apraxia, blaze inside, blasting hatred, evil darkness, saproffago, suppuration, trapped in the morgue,zourpuz, holyshit, putrilus, denigrated, necropsia, umbdreding sick, nihil obstat .sorry for all others but are lots……local scene have a good level and must be show to the worldwide scene. About scene in general lot of shows are being shceduled,a nd more bands from outside are coming to play to colombia. But a little problem is that bands needs more support from promoters, fans and also of labels to could play live shows,record, release and promote. Bands can not touring ,playing , recording and promoting for free . Timo: So, thank you very much for this interview bro! The last words are yours…!
