Hey Everyone,

Good Morning from VIVA Las Vegas!! ha ha!! man!! it was so much fun last night. we got to the Gold Coast Casino around 5:00pm last night and didn't make it back to my brother's house till 4:00 this morning. some of the acts we saw last night were:

Cordwood Draggers-from england. a rockabilly band who did some Hank Williams songs. awesome!!

MARTI BROM-AWESOME!!!! man she really rock the ballroom last night. she was amazing. I took some pictures. so when I get home I'll post her picture. she's from Austin Texas by the way. I've seen her before and have all her cd's. ha ha!! she has a new one out and I need to pick that up today.

The Stars of Rockabilly-old rockabilly guys from years and years ago!! but still awesome and rockin'
Lew Williams,
Art Adams
Joe clay
Alton Lott
Ray Campi-always wanted to see this guy, he was rocking last night. 80 years old and he stood up on top of his stand up bass. did a flip and headed off stage. ha ha!! wow!!
Sonny Burgess-also one of my favorite old time guys. saw him a few years back when he was touring with the Blasters. still going strong and playing that guitar.

Wildfire Willie & Ramblers- awesome also. man! they had the place jumping till 4 this morning. awesome!!

some of the people I'm looking forward to seeing tonight are: Deke Dickersona, Two Timing Threes, Doo Wop Legends, Devil Dolls and closing out the night The Go Getters!! awesome band!! seen them before too and they are great! good times!! ha ha!!

lots of vendor selling stuff. met a guy from germany selling CD's and Books on Hot Rods. he had all three of Hot Boogie Chillun Cds. awesome!! I asked him if he had any BossHoss cd's. he said, how did you hear of them? haha!! he was very impressed!! told him I was coming to see you all and BossHoss this october and he said he was happy about that. he's a real cool guy!!

off to have some casino breakfast, play a little of the Star War Slot Machine and to the Car Show. lots of really cool looking rides!! I peeked at them a little this morning till the security guys ran me off. ha ha!! it wasn't that bad. they were very nice guys.

talk to you soon, have a wonderful day and hope some of you are seeing the guys tonight.

Hello Everyone,

its great to be home. I had an awesome time, great music and meeting friends for the weekend. it was great.
the car show was great, too bad my camera freaked out on me and couldn't take any pictures of the awesome cars that were there. man!! they had some beauties too. lots of car clubs are starting to come and they all have really cool cars they were showing.
the shows were awesome saturday night. I saw Deke Dickerson. he had his guitar geek fest in the show room. where he highlighted 6 guitarist, young and old. one of them even worked with Frank Zappa. awesome. at the end he had all 6 guys sitting on the chair with double neck guitars and 6 more youhg players standing behind them playing the top part of the double neck. so he had 12 players playing at the same time. man!! very cool.
I saw 5 guys from the Doo Wop area on the main stage. they were so good. they must have done about 12 songs or so when they laterally blew the lights out. ha ha!! I mean, the whole stage went black. but they kept singing to us in the dark, that was so cool. lots of people singing along.
Jimmy Sutton and the 4charms. Awesome!! from chicago. he use to play stand up bass for Deke, him and his band was so awesome. but the highlight of the evening? the Go-Getters!! a rockabilly band from sweden. man! them boys can play! the main singer plays the drums. they started playing around 2am and didn't finish till 5am. the MC kept coming out to tell them the shows over, but they kept playing. ha ha!! it was crazy. they played some The Ramones, The Clash and Sex Pistols. I didn't notice anything behind me cause I was front row till someone bump me and they were moshing!!! for the first time at rockabilly fest, there was a mosh pit. ha ha!!
so now that I"m home? I"m starting my emailing to Viva Las Vegas. requesting Hot Boogie Chillun, the Go Getters and the Seatsniffers. think BossHoss will let us borrow Sascha for a weekend? ha ha!! you all wanna come?

have a wonderful day!! I'm going to crash out and dream of next year's rockabilly fest!!

Hi Bobbie

Hope everythings going on well in Tucson. As you can see the recording of the concert in Hann.Münden is online now. I can tell you it's really great. Worth listening *gg*!

Finally spring started even in Germany. I thought it won't get warmer here but now I'm quite happy even if university started again and I have lots of work right now. At least I like but sometimes I think why there can't be more time between the presentations I have to do this semester and why do I have lessons when there is a BossHoss concert near by However it's okay for me and I'm really motivated because I started to study a new subject. I changed from economy to sociology and it's very interesting. Now I can analize why there are so many female groupies on this planet *loool*.

How is your work going on? Are there any competitions coming up? Did you already listen to the interview with Impure Thoughts? I think they are great and I'm looking forward to hear them live together with Matt. May be they are playing also some gigs when you're here in Germany in autumn. You have to hear them. I think that Jackie can put a part of the Impure Thoughts concert online that took place in Kassel on the day of the interview. It's very funnny because there is also the talking between the songs recorded and one of them has such an funny scottish accent (sorry Tony but it really sounds drolly )

Many greetings

Sarah

hello everyone!!

been a while since I've posted on this thread,
thanks caro for the well wishes!! I hope and pray you are feeling better soon. thanks sarah for your post too!! I'm so happy to hear about your studies, awesome that you get what you want for classes!! I know its hard sometimes, but keep it up, its only a short amount of time for your studies, but well worth it. I have one child already graduated and another one almost there. time flys, so this will all be over soon and you have more free time for BossHoss shows!! ha ha!!

no shows coming up till august. but lots of weaving classes scheduled. Its been fun having students come to my house for lesson. I don't have to haul all my stuff to different places. haha!! just getting ready for my august show in Santa Fe, NM, its my biggest show of the year. always try to make something great for it. I also have my weaving classes coming up in California in July. remember the rich ladies? ha ha!!

spring has started for you all? awesome!! we have summer coming up soon too! we kinda skip spring every year. haha!! we go right into the heat. man!! its getting very hot here. hopefully when I come in October it'll still be nice and warm.

I did listen to Impure Thoughts interview, I was happy some talked english. ha ha!! awesome music, I'm hoping they will be playing somewhere near when I get there. I emailed Mark and told him I was coming. he said for me to email him right before I come so he can tell me where they will be. I sure hope I catch them playing somewhere. the best would be that they'll be the support for BossHoss!! oh man!! ha ha!!
I"m off to my homeland tomorrow. we have a big Powwow on saturday. we are having people from all over the US coming to our place on the reservation. we are the host family so we are responsible for feeding them, making sure they are comfortable. its a lot of work but lots of fun, we all camp out, some bring their Teepees, mostly the friends who are coming from the Plains States. we are having friends from Canada too. its going to be a big party at the Teller Ranch!! ha ha!! I wish you all could come, lots of food, dancing and music!! awesome!!!

Have a great day everyone,

bobbie

hey Iris,

your english is perfect!! I totally understand everything you said, so that tells me you did great on your exam you'll pass with flying colors!!
great to hear you are off next weekend to see BossHoss, have a wonderful time,
Dave and I are going to Chicago to visit our daughter Sierra on june 13th. we'll be there for a whole week. I can't wait to see her, I miss her so much. the airfares are so cheap right now so we decided to take advantage of it. I've been to chicago once to see Micheal Jordan play basketbal for chicago Bulls. I had a choice between seeing Graceland or Jordan. I know, don't yell at me all at once, ha ha! I chose Jordan because I knew he wouldn't be playing ball much longer, Graceland will always be there. I have to plan a trip there someday soon. maybe when you all come to see me we could all drive over there. ha ha! its only a 2 day drive. ha ha!

have a wonderful day everyone,
bobbie
