Hi there.

I'm a long time user of ePSXe and fan of Pete's work.
I've recently been playing Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and happened to notice that it seems to look awful when compared to screenshots of the actual PSX game on a television.

Lunar simply doesn't look that good on my PC.

My PC specs are:
ATI Radeon 9800PRO
Pentium 4 3.0ghz 800FSB
1 gig of Kingston HYPERX PC3200 RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 5.1 surround

I'm wondering what is recommended settings for BEST quality graphics for LUNAR (and 2D games in general), and what plugin is also recommended for best 2D quality, keeping in mind my system specs.

I would check out the new soft plugin version since lunar is a clear 2D game.

It seems that the PeOPS software plugin is the best for 2D emulation.

But I have a problem;
I cannot get scanlines to work properly in the soft plugin.

My specs are:
ATI Radeon 9800pro 128mb
Pentium 4 3ghz
1024mb DDR400 RAM
Windows XP SP2

Every time I start the game in fullscreen mode, it starts as a black background then transforms into a transparent one with scanlines (so that I see the game video being displayed in front of my windows desktop).

Is there any way to fix this?

Another way to play a game as Lunar with nice graphics is to use the OGL2 plugin and use 2xSaI textures (under Hi-Res textures options). Then use an good antialiasing (scaling) shader. The original Scale2x would run just nice on a 9800XT.

PS: if you want scanlines there is even a scanlines and pixelate shader somewnere on this board.
