I have heard a rumour that the next Heng Long tank might be a Sherman. Does anyone know if this is true?

Apart from a Sherman I would love to see a Stug III, or a Cromwell would be nice!

They already do a 1:30 Sherman, but the gun doesn't fire. Perhaps that is what you've heard about?

The next tank is going to be M41, the Walker Bulldog according to Matotoys( HL's major distributer). I bet chiasis is same as the Pershing.

Let's be realistic, Hen Long is not a serious scale model company. They are in the catagory of toy company out there to make a buck by 'copying' & putting some gimmicks on it & selling it cheap. Trumpeter on the the hand is a genuine scale model company in China, whose T-34 RC tank is unbelievably good. Marui VS company is also a very dedicated rtr scale model company, which, according to their advertising, will make a BB T-34 in a later date. HL probably is going to use the Pershing chiasis to make a not-true-to-life bull-dog, a patton etc until they can't make anymore money on the same lower hull & electronics. By the way, SFC what is a Leopard 3 ? I have never heard of it.
My choice of a new tank is the work-horse of the German tank force, the Panzer lV, because with it you can make a lot, a lot of variants, the Ausf A,D,E,H,L,F2,G with long gun or short and even the AA tank, and possibly the Sturmpanzer Brummbar & Jagdpanzer lV Lang. The fun of modification for the Panzer lV is endless ! Happy tanking!
