I ended up ordering my HL smoke and sound Tiger from Mato Toys. I also picked up a set of replacement tracks and a metal gear upgrade for the gear box. Total shipped to my door (in the US) was roughly $139 usd. Murphy answered all of my questions almost immediately, plus my order was shipped within 24 hours and I received info to track my shipment via Canada post. I'll give a full report once I receive my tank, but so far Mato Toys is getting an A+.

I have ordered from them as well...no problems at all...fast shipment!(But their web-site seems to be down for last few days????

Just got my Tiger from Mato Toys. It was packaged well and has been running like a champ. I only have one small problem, when the battery gets really low the tank kind of "locks" up. The engine sound goes to idle and no longer responds to commands from the remote. If you power it off then back on everything is fine. I'm using the two batteries that came with the tank and a MRC superbrain 959 for the charging duties. I'm planning on trying a decent battery pack and seeing if that takes care of the problem. If not, I’m sure that Murphy will make it right. Now it's time to start the detail work.

Toss the battery that somes with it into the garbage. They are only good for the garbage heap.
Get a good 3000+mah NIMH pack. You already have a good charger so that should help with the new batteries. That alone should solve your problem.

Thanks for the tip, I'm planning on hitting the hobby shop tomorrow for a new battery and possibly some paint. I would really like to give my tiger a cammo paint job but I don't have access to an air brush. Is it possible to get the job done with some tamiya aerosol cans? Also, take in to account that I'm by no means an experienced model painter.

Here is a pic of my HL Tiger, pretty much just like all the rest right now.

Do not use any spray can for camo! Spread is too wide for it.

You could use the spray cans if you were going to use templatesand tape everything, but that method sounds more trouble than it's worth.

If you are dead set on painting the camo, get eom jars of paint and use small brushes. Either that or take up airbrushing. I am going the airbrush route. I bought mine about a month ago to use for RC nitro bodies, but have found it invaluable for my tank project and just plain playing around with other stuff. If I get good enough I might even try some painting on my 1:1 car.
