Well I'm sorry for comming in asking for help like this, but I exausted all the possible ways to solve this problem.
I had OpenGL2 GPU, working great.
Then I upgraded my drivers, to the latest version, mostly to correct some problems on other game.
Then this happened:

It was working with the old drivers that had
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.5885
but they new drivers:
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.7278
give me this strange error..
no the card isn't something good, nor a gamming rig, its a x600se from dell, with 128mb.
But it sure does support OpenGL2 (as it WAS working perfectly before)
the settings I'm using are:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series
Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Window mode
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 1
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on
- No render-to-texture: Z
- Filtering: 3
- Hi-Res textures: 2
- TexWin pixel shader: on
- VRam size: 128 MBytes
Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 60.0
Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer effects: 3
- Framebuffer uploads: 1
Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 0/1
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]
===========================================
Old drivers work, new drivers don't..
Btw, I know it says its a x300/550/700, as its the one windows automaticaly detect I even manualy set to x600 but it didn't change a thing.
Who is the culprit here? The card? the drivers? the Plugin?
And no, rolling back again is not an option..

It is a very well known ATI driver problem. Sorry, but I really don't know how to help here, except advising to change card to nvidia one or to wait for new drivers.

Thank you, I kinda knew deep down that I'd have to upgrade.

i currently have x1600 a card not to old and i have also read reports of the hd 2400 a much newer card with the same bug issue with ogl the only solution i can think of is if the team creates D3D DX7 and D3D DX6 versions of the 2.8 plugins. or posibly step up to direct x8 and 9 versions
when i tried the D3D DX7 1.76 plugin i had no pixalation problems but those plugins dont run as good as the 2.8 for FF7
but my question is are you guys planning to at least release a D3D version of the 2.8?

There are D3D plugins already, they just aren't as feature packed as the OGL plugin.

Is there a real point for this? Such plugin would be for a single OS. Like Pete said before, there's much better way of resolving this problem - fix ATI drivers. Application developers should not make there app's compatible with other people bugs. I admit that I use D3D9/10 for my app's, but that is due to the object oriented structure of D3D. I'm working on OpenGL 3.0 compatible classes now for use in the future.

Well, for me the situation is:
OpenGL2 - buggy, I can't use it.
OpenGL - buggy, I can't use it.
D3D - slow, I can't use it.
Soft - OK, but it looks terrible.
Pete, pretty please, make speciale fix to fix this. I don't have strenght to watch this ugly graphics anymore.

OK here is the latest email I got from ATI:
"Report the bug to the driver team for the open GL issue in our drivers at:
Catalyst Crew Feedback Program
Try to reproduce this on an actual game, hacks to the driver and Playstation emulation GPU plugins are not supported by AMD customer care.
You will need to continue technical support via forums.
Regards,

Customer Care"
How can I get them to fix their stupid drivers, I had to manually add the ICD to the registy but it still didn't fix the triangles. I can get how they only care about PC gams but come on, it works on my other computers Nvidia FX5200 AGP 128mb. Can any of the graphics experts/programmers help with finding out what the cause of the triangles is, and if any OpenGL pc games have the triangle problem? I've just downloaded a Quake 4 demo in the hope that it won't work.
For anyone else this is what I did to install the ICD:
Open notepad, paste the following
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers\ati2dvag]
"Version"=dword:00000002
"DriverVersion"=dword:00000001
"Flags"=dword:00000001
"Dll"="atio06axx.dll"
atio6axx.dll for 64 bit Vista
atioglxx.dll for 32 bit.
Save the file as ATI OpenGL.reg then double click it.
