Hallöchen
Superman is auf der My Space Seite von MW.
My Space MW
Five Minutes from America
I got two little kids in a broke-down car on the side of the road in view of a Texaco Star
I spend all my money on water and food. I got Willie on the radio. He’s singing those country blues.
Well, I had a good job back in New Orleans. Once I was a citizen.
Now I’m a refugee.
Can’t go back, no, no. I can’t move ahead. Tried to make a call but I can’t ‘cause my goddamned cell phone’s dead.
And I’m just five minutes from America.
I see it very clear.
I’m just five minutes from America.
But you can’t get there from here.
Got to keep up with the Joneses,
whatever they are
Had some real nice neighbors
Had me a big back yard
Now I’m watching the world pass me by like I’m an immigrant on the move.
Saw the roof of my house on the TV sitting in my motel room.
And I’m just five minutes from America. I see it very clear
I’m just five minutes from America
But you can’t get there from here
Back down the road a policeman smiled, and he offered his hand
He said, welcome stranger, but you really can’t stay here, man
On up ahead there’s some opportunities. You can follow them everywhere. Hmph.
Maybe go to Houston. There’s a lot of you there
And I’m just five minutes from America
I see it very clear
I’m just five minutes from America
But you can’t get there from here
Willie sang blue eyes
Crying in the rain
Down in Luckenbach, Texas
They ain’t feeling no pain
But in the back of my head
The way still pounds
And when the levee broke
The music stopped
And the world was watching as hell came down
And I’m just five minutes from America
I see it very clear
I’m just five minutes from America
But you can’t get there from here
And I wish I was back home
I wish I was back home
And I wish I was back home
Wish I was back home
RED RIVER
Hey!
It was the dead of night in late July, a thunder crack made them Angels cry
Waters came, washed away, all my tears had their final say.
Yeah, yeah….Yeah, yeah.
Well, I took my love to the waters edge, took my love to that final pledge.
She said, “Sorry son, I’ve had enough. This livin’ on a prayer is just livin’ bad luck.”
And, bye-bye. Bye-bye.
That Red River…
took my love away from me, took my love far away from me,
took me love away from me, took my love far away from me,
Yeah, yeah.
She just turned mean and walked away, into the night, into that water’s play
She got caught up in that river’s flow,
it took her down to downtown and never let go
No, no…no, no
That Red River…
took my love away from me, took my love far away from me,
took me love away from me, took my love far away from me,
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Well, you talk about love like it’s a lasting thing,
a golden promise in a wedding ring.
We swore love in a lasting vow,
but that don’t seem to matter much now.
No, no…no, no.
That Red River…
took my love away from me, took my love far away from me,
took me love away from me, took my love far away from me,
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
OooooooooooooOooooooooooooOoooooooo
Every Intention:
Smoke screens, daydreams all over you
Blindfolds, crossroads, untold truths
Soft white satin laying in the dirt. Of all the people in this world, why was it you
I hurt?
I had every intention of bringing it to the light.
I had a good reason to wait ‘til the time was right
Well I never cleared the air like I had planned to do
But I had every intention, every intention, every intention to
Long shot, teardrop on your cheek
Heartache, mistake I didn’t speak
Sweet love stories, I guess I blurred the words
Well I told you all about me, but one thing you never heard
I had every intention of bringing it to the light
I had a good reason to wait ‘til the time was right
Well, I never cleared the air like I had planned to do
But I had every intention, every intention, I had every intention to
I had every intention of making it up to you
I had a good reason for straying so far from the truth
Well, I never cleared the air like I had planned to do
But I had every intention, every intention, I had every intention to
Long Hot Night:
There’s a freight train running thru the dead of night headed straight for (?) human
I hear it every time it rolls thru this town
It’s 1:00 a.m. and I’m wide awake,
too hot for sleeping
Those wheels keep spinning round and round
Wheels keep spinning round and round
Me and that train covered lot of ground
I wish I may, I wish I might. It’s gonna be another long hot night
Trucks start flying up and down at ten
I can hear them in the distance
Tired drivers trying to beat the heat
We used to drive with our headlights out
Moonlight on the highway
You were sleeping with your head in my lap
You were sleeping with your head in my lap
Life don’t get much better than that
Hubcaps spinning in the light
It’s gonna be another long hot night
How’d I let it get to be so wrong?
The days roll by but the nights’ drag on
Trying to find a way to get on track
But our spinning wheels look back
I’m just spinning wheels looking back
Shots ring out in the middle of a dream
Car tires squealing
For a moment I wonder where I am
I’m right here in this little hot house
With no one beside me
I’m listening to the wobble of the ceiling fan
I’m listening to the wobble of the ceiling fan
Wish I were a better man
Gonna keep tryin’ ‘til I get it right
It’s gonna be another long hot night
We used to drive with our headlights out
Moonlight on the highway
You were sleeping with your head in my lap
You were sleeping with your head in my lap
Life don’t get much better than that
Hubcaps spinning in the light
It’s gonna be another long hot night
Long hot night
Long hot night
Long hot night
Long hot night
Long hot night
Long hot night

ich hab mal den Text von Superman vom hören mitgeschrieben. Vlt. könnt ihr mir helfen die fehlende Stücke zu ergänzen. Also soweit bin ich:
I feel like superman, flying over muddy rivers,
count everything from one to fourteen,
all the roads where the sunflowers grow,
I can see from hidden eternity.
I'll see you around, I'm gone,
I'll see you around, I'll see you around sometime in the sky.
And I've been miles from nowhere, living in this dustfull dirt, Baseball bat, hardly black tennis shoes, dirty old T-Shirts,
the streets call better (...?),
is the space in my bicycle spokes,
we like and ride for get to Amarillo on my motorbike yeah,
it'll take me anywhere I wanna go,
and I'll see you around, I'm gone,
I'll see you around, I'll see you around sometime in the sky.
Roll down the windows of that family car,
wind comes rushing in,
take me back yeah, thirty years ago,
say goodbye to my best friend,
I never made it to Amarillo or (....?),
the asospades (...?),
somewhere along old highway fifty-six,
so long goodbye and (...?),
I'm gonna miss this town,
you stood there waving in the wind,
until I turn around,
we laughed so hard, I thought I crap,
until the day I die.
I feel like superman, flying over muddy rivers,
count everything from one to fourteen,
all the roads where the sunflowers grow,
I can see from hidden eternity ...
I'll see you around,
I'll see you around,
I'll see you around sometime in the sky.
I feel like superman,
I feel like superman,
I feel like superman ...
I feel like .. superman
so.
Hoffe ihr könnt die Lücken füllen und mir meine Fehler korrigieren.
