nice model, try to brsh the colors on. I mean dip the brush in paint, then wipe awy most oft it, then rub the brush gently over the surface. use a slightly lighter color than the base so you can get lights . for the shades use slightly darker color than the base paint. make ist thinnes an then paint the deaphs .
