Hi everyone,
I've been a fan of Pete's work since his first versions of the GPU plugins came out for windows (that was quite a long ago :D).
Recently I decided to revisit some of those old games I've enjoyed so much but never finished. With one minor exception, I'm running linux now.
So there I went again searching for the best thing available and again the familiar name jumped on the screen.
After trying a couple of different combinations I decided to stick with libgpuPeteXGL2.so.2.0.9 as it gave the best graphics.
However, as soon as I finished my first CD and was prompted to change for the second, I noticed a problem I hadn't realize before. As soon as I press Esc to drop to the epsxe GUI and use the Change Disc option, epsxe segfaults and exits.
I tried different versions of the XGL2 plugin and it still segfaults. However, with the other plugins (tried the MesaGL and the Soft plugins) it doesn't happen so this is not that much of a big problem since I can work around it. But it's annoying because the XGL2 is the prettiest one :P and I need to anticipate the CD changes and use one of the non crashing plugins.
I also tried to use gdb to get something out of it, but since I have no debug symbols, the only thing I got was:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

which doesn't help much.
Anyway, I'm running gentoo linux with kernel 2.6.28, ati drivers 8.593 (Catalyst 9.3).
The hardware is Pentium M 2.00GHz, 2Gb RAM, ATI X700 (Mobile).
If any additional information is needed just ask. I would like to nail down this one.
Thanks
