hi, pete!

i\'m having a problem with your spu dsound 1.8 plugin.

my settings (epsxe 1.60)

general:
mode 2
volume 3
reverb 2
interpolation 3

xa-music:
everything enabled

misc:
spu irq enabled (\"enable spu irq hack\" disabled)

the game seems to work perfect (even the sound in the cutscenes of legend of dragoon which doesn\'t work with the eternal plugin.)

after 7-10 battles though the sound effects become messy. it\'s like having switched to gaussian interpolation (worse treble) and voices in battle are cut off.

do i experience some kind of (known?!) problem with the cubic interpolation setting?

anyway, even if there is no solution for the moment, thanks for your great plugins!

i found out, that independent of the interpolation settings battle voices are cut off after a number of battles. (some effects sound different, too, then, most noticeable with cubic interpolation enabled.)

eternal spu works fine, though some cutscenes don't have any sound effects at all, but this seems to be a known problem.

any way to fix this strange behaviour?

Ive seen the exact same thing, but its for every battle, no 7-10 battles of perfect, although its much better then what I've previously used, it almost seems as if the sounds are all overlapping, and that more sound channels need to be available, I come to this conclusion from observing, when you attack, the sound of the char grunting sound is cut off when the slash sound comes up, and the yell out of the addition name is only cut off if the enemy dies from the attack

I found a sound plugin that fixes this problem, although i dont remember the link because i found it on google, the plugin is called
Eternal SPU Plugin v.1.41
i guess just look that up on google, it has some useful options and it works great on legend of dragoon. not that I'm saying petes plugins for sound arnt good, but this one will not cut off the sound, I havent tried this plugin on any other games yet

since Tandur already tried the Eternal plugin (look in his first post), without good success, it would be nice to post yor exact Eternal plugin settings for this game

Tandur: I'm not sure if this works for you, but try disable the second/2P controller when playing legend of dragoon. Doing this helped me fix sound cutoff problems

what do you mean? 1.09 of what? petes spu plugin? ive tried about 12 diff plugins and the same thing...only one that isnt as bad is petes midas plugin, but it still cuts out sometimes...
