So und das pack ich mal hierhin. Wenn einer nen besseren Platz findet kann er es gerne verschieben!
Karan Johar’s favourite Deol!

Karan Johar will spend his birthday tomorrow with his mother, since his friends are all away
Subhash K Jha, Mumbai Mirror
Unlike his past birthdays, Karan Johar has no grand plans for the big day tomorrow. The 30-something director will have a quiet birthday celebration with his mother since all his friends are away. Karan is currently in London and will return just in time to blow out the candles. “I want to spend it with my mother. There will be no party because all my friends are out of the country. Shah Rukh is in Malaysia shooting,” he says.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker is euphoric about his Cannes trip. Even if news about being denied permission to enter his hotel in Cannes through the front door along with Preity Zinta made news, Karan Johar remains unperturbed.
“It was so stupid that it doesn't even warrant a response. We were just asked to go through another door, which we did. A channel correspondent spotted us and reported that we were denied entry. I guess such 'news' makes sense to some people. I'd rather focus on the release of my film,” says Karan.
Currently, Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna is on the top of his mind. He has managed to sell KANK to Germany, France and Poland. “Other 'non-traditional' international centres are hugely receptive to the film,” he says. Barely recovering from Cannes, Karan cannot get over the prevalence of Bollywood star power in that part of the world. “Half of the Bollywood industry was present there. It was fun running into Ash, Rakeysh Mehra, Suneel Darshan, Vishal Bhardwaj and the others. It didn't feel like I was away from home,” says Karan. “The support that Shah Rukh Khan has in Europe is amazing. We discovered first-hand in Cannes how much Shah Rukh matters to the market out there. We had a blast at Cannes. Preity and I saw several movies, including Da Vinci Code. Now I'm in London. I've got a series of meetings lined up before I return home.”
Karan's nervousness over KANK is evident. "I feel KANK has already been released. That's how involved I am with the film. The trailer will be shown along with Fanaa this week." What about the book on KANK that was released in Cannes? "It was more like an elaborate catalogue, mainly pictorial."

Karan Johar walks the ramp at IIFA fashion show
Dubai, June 16 (IANS) Bollywood biggies like Karan Johar, Feroz Khan, Ayesha Takia and choreographer Shiamak Davar and walked the ramp at a fashion show organised by the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) here Friday.
India's celebrated fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis enthralled the audience with their exquisite collections at the World Trade Centre here.
They both tried to outdo each other - if Phadnis flaunted vibrant colours and cuts, with flirty skirts and high boots, Malhotra showcased pure whites with streaks of reds, blues and yellow.
A special collection by Rosyblue's international jewellery designers added extra glamour to the ensembles.
The evening was full of surprises - besides the stars walking the ramp, it saw a unique hand-printing ceremony by IIFA brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan for the IIFA Wall of Fame.
The handprints will be a permanent fixture at the IIFA Wall of Fame in Dubai Studio City.
Johar had another surprise in store - he interviewed on stage some of his star friends including Anil Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Riteish Deshmukh.
An electrifying performance by British Asian hip-hop stars Hunters, and India's percussion king Sivamani topped the evening.
The make-up department was handled by the world-renowned M.A.C. Cosmetics Company, which brought in more than 17 make-up artists from around the world to style the look for the IIFA fashion showing and the Red Carpet events. Frank Provost gave the models and stars they fabulous hairstyles.
The show was a well-attended affair. Apart from Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Riteish, Shilpa Shetty, Nimisha Lamba and Shiney Ahuja were seen at the do.

Karan Johar’s Roman Holiday!
Everyone knows that KJ is one helluva movie buff. And he’s an avid viewer of all kinds of films - romantic, action, comedy and feel-good, of course. The film could be in any language too, KJ couldn’t care less, as long as he’s entertained and moved by it. In fact, the lad started his film watching spree at a very young age. “I was a viewer ever since I was four years old; the first film I saw in the theater was the Hollywood romantic - Roman Holiday. I loved the film, it made audiences laugh and cry with it. That’s what my films are also about.” Indeed Karan, your films are like being on a three-hour vacation. What say, guys?

KJ: 'Married or Happy?'
Karan Johar's films are all about feeling-good, sharing a laugh, shedding a tear and carrying a box of face tissues around. But behind-the-scenes these guys have a real blast. In fact, Karan's entire crew might be wary of him during the hectic shooting days, but once the arc lights go off, they're all back-slapping buddies. In fact, if you were to drop into KJ's office, everyone out there has one thing in common. Their sweat-shirts. Yeah, they're all sporting trendy black sweat-shirts with KANK printed on the back, and in the front it read, "Happy or Married". With a check-box next to both the options. We're sure Karan's choice is the former, what about yours?

Koffee (mugs) with Karan?
Well if you're wondering if Karan Johar's popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan' has changed to the above headline, you're sadly mistaken. Karan seems to have a special predilection for coffee we think, be it the name of his show, the coffee relished by celebs on his show or the coffee mugs signed by them. So smitten seems the director by 'Koffee with Karan', that he has come up with coffee mugs and a few other things like that to promote his forthcoming film KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA.
Merchandising is gradually becoming popular in India. It just seems the order of the day (after sequels and remakes) in Bollywood, atleast in the years to come. Recently we saw KRRISH dolls and key-chains and now it's KANK coffee mugs, key-chains and pens, as per reports in a trade magazine. Karan Johar will soon put up KANK merchandise for sale.
The much-hyped film has been making news big time, ever since it went on the floors. The colossal star cast and the Dharma production banner makes it even more interesting. It is slated to release on 11th August.

Karan Johar in Nikhil Advani’s Salaam-E-Ishq
By IndiaFM News Bureau, July 8, 2006 - 02:48 IST
Karan Johar and Nikhil Advani have buried their differences and now Karan will also be doing a cameo in Nikhil’s upcoming film. After the release of Kal Ho Na Ho which was directed by Nikhil and produced by Karan Johar, the two had differences in opinion and had parted ways. They in fact weren’t in talking terms for more than a year.
However, for his film Salaam-E-Ishq, Nikhil wrote a role keeping Karan in mind. It is a cameo role of a film director for Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s episode in the film. Karan was quite amused when Nikhil approached him and agreed to do it. Even Karan Johar confirmed that he is doing a cameo in Nikhil’s film. He also added that Nikhil had been a part of Dharma productions for eight years and that despite the fall out he was always there for him.
Karan Johar however didn’t let out any details about his role in the film saying it’s too early to comment. He is currently busy with Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and will shoot for Salaam-e-Ishq once he is done with that.
