I will repost some instructions as some other new users might benefit from it:

O.K. First, how you configure shaders to work.

1. Open the config window for the Pete's OGL2 plugin from the main emulator. (Config -> Video -> button "Configure"

2. Enable shader effects.

3. Select option 3 for ARB shaders or option 5 for GLSL shaders. (from next to "Shader effects" )
(ARB shaders files are "gpuPeteOGL2.fp" and "gpuPeteOGL2.vp", GLSL files are "gpuPeteOGL2.slf" and "gpuPeteOGL2.slv" )

Even more right (we are still in the plugin configure window) you must set the shader effect level. Some custom shaders look a lot better with the screen filtering enabled. (Aditional smoothing effect would take extra resources (speed, instructions...) and the available screen filter does it with for free ).

You can configure shaders from ingame. Default keys for opening the menu from ingame is by the DEL key (+INSERT for explanations). You move right and left with the HOME and END keys and cycle through the options with PGUP and PGDN keys.

If we want to use custom shaders...
Make a new map named Shaders in the main emulator directory.

(If before there were the bios, plugins, snaps... folders now there must look like bios, plugins, Shaders, snaps,... )

You must have valid shader files in the "Shaders" folder. Their names must! be "gpuPeteOGL2.slv" and "gpuPeteOGL2.slf" ( or "gpuPeteOGL2.vp" and "gpuPeteOGL2.fp" for ARB shaders).
To contain different shaders on your hard drive it is a simple solution to put them in different folders (since their names must be "gpuPeteOGL2.slv"... ).

How do we transfer the shaders from this forum to the hard drive?

Make some extra folders and create empty files named "gpuPeteOGL2.slv", "gpuPeteOGL2.slf". (for GLSL shaders or "gpuPeteOGL2.vp" and "gpuPeteOGL2.fp" for ARB shaders).

Now, go to Pete's Shader section and open the topic where shaders are posted. Just select the text which is meant for the "gpuPeteOGL2.slv" file and paste it in the "gpuPeteOGL2.slv" file in the directory.

Do the same for the "gpuPeteOGL2.slf" file. Now save the files. (we are talking about the files in the directories which should contain different shaders - one directory one shader).

Now, just copy the pair of shader files you want to use into the Shaders directory. (which is in the the main emulator directory).

One more information:
screen filtering enabled = bilinear filtering
In a opengl "pbuffer" program you can specify if you want to "copy" the source pbuffer to destination "screen" (front/back) buffer with point sampling or bilinear sampling... all fullscreen shader that implement bilinear filtering is totally useless because the hardware is surely more faster...
Bye
P.S.:I am a masochist because I have written some shader that implement bilinear filtering...

Hey guys, i have a problem, couldn't you please help me?

I make shader files, GLSL, name them as it is told here and copy there the text.

After that i choose the option number 5 in the "shader effects" for GLSLang files.

But when i start the emulator it crashes and says "Shader effects: missing custom file".

Can it be helped somehow?
