I have a Hen Long tiger and I have had it for about 9 months. I have been working on it ever since making it look pretty lol. I had a question, does anyone have a detailed guide how to switch the gun mantlet around. I am sure you all know that it is the wrong way around, the gunners vision holes should be on the opposite side. Left side if you sitting in the tank. Oh and great forum, I have been looking for a forum like this for ages!!!

Thanks for the link. The only thing about it is it's in German and I don't really speak it lol. I have used web page translators but it still is hard to contemplate what they are saying as the translators suck lol. Does anyone have an english written tutorial?

Hallo Koenigstiger,
if you look at this picture, you can see the turned-around KWK.
- the white plastic plate stabilize the screws.
- behind I have filled the superfluous hole with filler before
- the rest was turning around

Greetings,
Stern
P.S.:
Feel free to ask !

Hi konigstiger,
here´s another description:
The tank must be disassembled to the point where you can access the interior of the turret; remove the tracks, remove the upper hull, remove turret ring and pinion gears, remove turret floor. Carefully lift gun motor assembly from trunions -- mind the coil spring registered in the roof of the turret underneath the gun -- and set it off to one side.
You will see two screws* flanking the gun tube on the inside of the mantlet; remove them.
[The mantlet has three pieces; an interior face that screws to the gun assembly, the exterior face, (the actual mantlet), and an internal plate that the mantlet snaps onto.]
The exterior portion of the mantlet will separate from the firing mechanism and you can then shave off or sand down the two threaded posts that *these screws threaded into -- they are offset, and you cannot simply invert the mantlet without removing them.
Once these are removed, realign the mantlet against this interior face in it's correct position and use GE Silicone adhesive to re- attach it. (I like using the silicone adhesive because it holds well, but allows you to get back into the gun for servicing if you have to.

Just to let you know that I have now completed the procedure, thanks for all the help gentlemen. I am so pleased as it annoyed me to know end that the gunners vision holes were the wrong way around. I also changed the loaders hatch the right way up on the turret. This board rocks!

I didn't even try anduse the styrene like that Starn. I snapped the two pieces of the mantlet that are glued together (where the screw holes are in the inner plate), flipped them over and redrilled the holes. If I get a chance I'll post pics of the backside of it.
