Does anyone can make some shader that will be an aim dot or crosshair? That kind of shader would be great for some fps games, like Medal of Honor, when you play on analog gamepad for examle.

You mean a cross that always stays in the center of the screen? If so it shouldn't be hard (and it is actually a good idea for fps). Guest, would you be so kind?

I just discovered the way to display that crosshair.
I used Pete's "Multitexture demo" ARB shader in witch I modified tga texture to look like crosshair with dot.

I made 3 versions of crosshairs: dot, cross and cross with dot that are positioned in the middle of he screen.
And the same crosshairs but positioned a little lower on the screen, made for Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor Underground.

All available to download HERE

Interesting, I didn't know about this type of shader. The code looks a bit like assembly. One question, looking at the shader files it looks like you're simply adding the colours together. In practice, does this mean that on a black surface, the crosshair is yellow, and on anything significantly lighter it is white? (including on a white surface)

If so, perhaps a bitwise XOR (if available) with white would be better, to invert whichever colour is currently underneath the crosshair.

Edit: here's the fragment file for my idea, dunno how it looks in an FPS.

Code:
1:
2:
3:
4:
5:
6:
7:
8:

!!ARBfp1.0
TEMP color0,color1;
TEX  color0,fragment.texcoord[0],texture[0],2D;
TEX  color1,fragment.texcoord[1],texture[1],2D;
ADD  color1,color1,-color0;
ABS  result.color,color1;
MOV  result.color.a,color0.a;
END
