Look at me a woman, calm and in control No silly girl who's head's always turning Nobody would guess that deep inside my soul A brand new flame is burning
And together we'd make the whole world move in sympathy
Only he can make my burden light Only he can make a wrong seem right Only he can make the shadows bright And make the darkness gleaming white
Him and me we'd be sublime Does he know or will he never guess That next time I'm gonna answer yes Does he know if I’d go back today (im Original: Does he know if he comes back today) This time I’d smile and stay (im Original: This time I'm gonna make him stay)

they are not nice, they're mostly noise they swear like men, they screw like boys I know there's nothing in their hearts but every time I take one in my arms it starts:
the movie in my mind the dream they leave behind a scene I can't erase and in a strong embrace flee this life flee this place
the movie plays and plays the screen before me fills it takes me back home [Original: to New York] it gives me dollar bills […] and life is like a dream
dream the dream I long to find the movie in my mind
I will not cry, I will not think I'll do my dance, I'll make them drink when I make love, it won't be me and if they hurt me, I'll just close my eyes
and see they are not nice, they're mostly noise the movie in my mind… they kill like men, they die like boys the dream that fills my head they give their cash, they keep their hearts […] every night again it starts
a man who’ll not kill who'll fight for me instead he'll keep me safe all day so no one comes at night to blow the dream away
dream the dream I have to find the movie in my mind
and in a strong embrace flee this life flee this place
a world that's far away where life is not unkind the movie in my mind
(Miss Saigon, The Movie In My Mind)

In a place that won't let us feel In a life where nothing seems real I have found you I have found you
In a world that's moving too fast In a world where nothing can last I will hold you I will hold you
Our lives will change, when tomorrow comes […]
And we have music all right Tearing the night A song Played on a solo saxophone A crazy sound A lonely sound
A cry that tells us love goes on and on Played on a solo saxophone It's telling me To hold you tight And dance like it's the last night of the world
[…]
If we're together that's when We'll hear it again A song Played on a solo saxophone A crazy sound A lonely sound A cry that tells us love goes on and on Played on a solo saxophone It's telling me To hold you tight And dance like it's the last night of the world
(April) Dreams Were all I ever knew
(Charlie) Dreams You won't need when I'm with you (Original: through)
[…]
…Played on a solo saxophone So stay with me And hold me tight And dance Like it's the last night of the world
(Miss Saigon, The Last Night Of The World)

Last night I watched you sleeping Once more, the nightmare came I heard you cry out something A word that sounded like... a name And it hurts me more than I can bear Knowing part of you I'll never share Never know But still I still believe The time will come When nothing keeps us apart My heart, forever more Holds still
It's all over, I' m here There is nothing to fear April, what' s haunting you? [Original: Chris] Won' t you let me inside What you so want to hide! I need you too!
I will hold you all night, I will make it all right You are safe with me And I wish you could tell what you don't want to tell What your hell must be You can sleep now You can cry now I'm with you now [Original: I’m your wife now] For life Until we die

the earth moves where I stand I feel the turning of a wheel I feel nothing in my hand not even the feel of steel you will not hurt me! (Original: you will not take my child...)

Jason für Serena, am Anfang.
All alone, you think you're on your own You think there's no one in the world who cares for you That isn't true, there's me I may not be the one you want to see But if you need someone who's kind Then look behind, and then you'll find, there's me I'll be near, standing by, never fear, you can cry In a while, you will smile, and I'll be there to see By yourself, you have to cry yourself Nobody else can cry the tears you have to cry But I will try, there's me Until then, when you're okay again You look around, find I'm no longer there I'll still be near somewhere, you're not alone There's me, there's always me I'll still be near somewhere, you're not alone There's me, there's always me

I'm honored, I'm flattered, This greeting really mattered. This welcome is grand But I'm really concerned.
I like your attention But this I have to mention You're playing with fire And up to get burned!
There's a girl in Tennessee Who's sorry she met up with me I can't go back to Tennessee, I'm a bad, bad man!
There's a girl in Omaha, But I ran faster than her Pa, I can't go back to Omaha
There's a girl in Wyoming, And they're combing Wyoming To find a man in white Who was out with her that night!
There's a girl in Arkansas, The Sheriff is her brother-in-law, I can't go back to Arkansas, I'm a bad, bad man!
I'm enlightened, but frightened. Though my int'rest you've heightened. It might turn out to be That too much, too much for me!
For years I have yearned to play towns I could return to And "this may be it" from the way that you speak I'm glad you're not frightened, the atmosphere has brightened And now let's make plans for a wonderful week
Monday when my work is done I'll teach you how to shoot a gun You may find it lots of fun With a bad, bad man
Tuesday there's no matinee But I'll be in my tent all day You can come around and play With a bad, bad man
Send your mothers on Wednesday because Wednesday's old hens' day But Thursday is sublime, I'll have lots of open time
Friday night will be the test If Saturday you're still my guest Sunday you can come and rest With a bad, bad man
(Annie Get Your Gun, Bad Bad Man)

April nach dem abgelehnten Heiratsantrag von Charlie
I don't expect my love affairs to last for long Never fool myself that my dreams will come true Being used to trouble I anticipate it But all the same I hate it, wouldn't you?
So what happens now? Another suitcase in another hall So what happens now? Take my picture off another wall Where am I going to? I'll get by, I always have before [You’ll…] Where am I going to?
Time and time again I've said that I don't care That I'm immune to this, that I'm hard through and through But every time it matters all my words desert me So anyone can hurt me, and they do
Call in three months time and I'll be fine, I know Well maybe not that fine, but I'll survive anyhow I won't recall the names and places of each sad occasion But that's no consolation here and now
So what happens now? Another suitcase in another hall So what happens now? Take my picture off another wall Where am I going to? I'll get by, I always have before [You’ll…] Where am I going to?

April nach dem abgelehnten Heiratsantrag
Long ago In someone else's lifetime Someone with my name Who looked a lot like me Came to know A man and made a promise He only had to say And that's where she would be Together… against the rest of the world Lately Although the feelings run just as deep The promise she made has grown impossible to keep And yet I wish it wasn't so Will he miss me if I go?
In a way It's someone else's story I don't see myself As taking part at all Yesterday A girl that I was fond of Finally could see The writing on the wall Sadly She realized she'd to leave him behind And sadder than that she knew doing so would kill her [he wouldn't even mind] And though there's nothing left to say Would I listen if he’d ask me to stay?
It's all very well to say you fool it's now or never I could be choosing No choices whatsoever.
I could be In someone else's story In someone else's life […] I could take my chances And marry him right now [further down the line] And if That girl I knew should ask my advice Oh I wouldn't hesitate she needn't ask me twice Go now! Marry him! I'd tell her that for free Trouble is, the girl is me The story is, the girl is me…
