An update on this: the problem only occurs if the background of the text is blue (as in my picture), but not if it's using the grey background. Weird huh? | |||

well, mode 4 is doing a mixed up mode, switching between filtered and unfiltered polygons, depending on the primitive type. Prolly the game is using different primitives for painting the text, I will check that somewhen. | |||
