met some fans from germany, 6 of them!! they came to both shows and wore outfits that said, Germany support Team. haha!!! I ended up hanging out with them at the victoria show. they are so much fun!! I think the guys were very happy to see them and me~! haha!!

ok, let get this party started! haha!
I took off from my home and drove to phoenix to catch my flight to Vancouver, British Colombia. it was about a 3 hour flight. got to see the movie "night at the Museum". it was ok. good thing I saw it for free! haha! went thru customs with no problems. the agent asked me what I was going to do in Canada. I told her I'm here to see my Favorite Band the BossHoss from Germany! she said, really? its the only reason you came? haha! yep!! she said have a good time and out the door I went!
found a cab to take me to my hotel. which was downtown and only 2 blocks away from the Railway Club. the cabdriver was so nice. he is really into music so I talked his ear off about BossHoss! told him to come down to the Club and check them out! they are awesome!! haha!! I also gave him a long list of Blues musicans.
my hotel was real nice, small room. it was raining the whole day, but surprisingly not cold. I went to a local bar and grill and had my fill of seafood. something we don't get fresh in the Arizona desert! haha!! when I'm near water/ocean, all I want is fresh Seafood! haha! it was raining so hard I had to buy an umbrella. haha! it was the only time I got to use it tho. I should have waited another 2 hours, I wouldn't had to buy one! haha!!
so I had a few hours to hang around before the show started, so I hung around the hotel. I decided, I better call to make sure when the doors are opening cause in case there's a line, I want to be first, you know what I mean?? haha! the guy on the phone told me around 8pm. when I called him 2 weeks ago, he was so excited that someone was coming from Arizona! haha! he said, I'll make sure you have a ticket! so by 7:45pm, I wandered over there. when I turn the corner, I see a white van with a bunch of guys around it. like they are unpacking stuff. the closer I get, I realized! ITS THEM!!! OHMYGOD!!! haha!! I walked up to Sascha and said: HEY!!! he was so shocked to see me, he said, Bobbie!! what the Hell are YOU doing Here?? haha!! then all the guys came out of the van and gave me lots of hugs! they all asked me what I was doing there! I told them, You all are in my Time Zone, of course, I'm gonna come see you. they asked me how long it took for me to come there, 3 hours, that's it? yep! haha!! it was the neatest thing. I was so happy to see them! wow!! there was a TV camera following them around and the lady said to me. are you old friends? then Sascha said, yeah, this is my Indian girl! haha!! see? I knew it!! haha!! she wanted to interview me but I was so embarrassed, I said no. now that I think about it, I should have said yes and advertised for our guys, right? damn!! next time for sure.
the Railway club, a very small bar with an even tiny stage. when I first saw it, I told Sascha, how are you all gonna move around on that? haha!! Alec said, hey! we are going back to our Roots! awesome!! I love that remark! I never got the chance to see them when they were starting out in germany, I'm thinking maybe it was like this? so I got a chance to experience that! so awesome!! it was kinda strange to see the guys carrying their own stuff. they had a couple people helping, but mostly it was them. it took them a long while to set up. I mean, there wasn't room for one of Frank's drum! haha!! I guess you all know about Russ and Hank, Dean and Matt. such a sad thing to happen, but the new guys are so cool and nice. you all have to meet Russ T Rocker and Hank Dirt!! there were about 80'ish people there and they were all sitting in chairs, sipping their beers, chatting with their friends, when BossHoss decided to do a sound Check!! check it out everyone!!! the song for sound check was WithOut ME!!!!!!!!! man!! I got to hear it live! ohmygod!! it was so awesome!! we all clapped when it was over and the guys said, wow!! we've never had people clapping for sound checks before. haha!! so now the crowd is looking forward to the real show. 6 bosshoss german fans showed up, they had bosshoss, germany support team on their shirts, they all wore hats with skulls and bones on them. they were so awesome! I was kinda worried how to act when the guys starts the show, but with them there? it was gonna be easy now! haha!! they also had a banner with the same words. I took pictures of them, which I will post later.
the guys started playing and the crowd took notice, by the 3rd song, with Boss's voice and Hoss's Smile, they had the Crowd!! the crowd couldn't sit anymore, they were up and dancing! it was so much fun. the set list is the same as the shows I saw in december in germany, the only songs they didn't play was Mary, Marry Me and She's So Unusual. they even played 2 encores. it was so great to see them and hear them live. I could have listened to them all night! with Russ T Rocker playing his guitar in the middle of the crowd and Hank Dirt standing on the chair and dancing up a storm, Ernesto giving his rain stick to a girl in the crowd while he went to get beers for everyone, the place was rocking!! they had some equipment problems but seems like it didn't matter after a while. whew! haha!
after the show I got to give them all hugs and had them sign my pictures, I took of them in germany. I stole the posters off the walls, they had a write up in the local paper and I stole that off the wall too. haha!! I think the only draw back was they couldn't smoke in the bar. there is no smoking in bars and resturants. so they have to go outside to smoke. sucks, huh? it was great for me tho! didn't go home smelling like smoke! haha!! they were still there having fun talking to their new fans when I decided to head back to the hotel. I was leaving very early in the morning for Victoria and want to make sure I get some sleep. then I found out from one of the guys that they were staying at the same hotel as me! yikes!!! haha! didn't get a glimpse of them later on or at breakfast the next morning! haha!
the Bus came and picked me up to take me to the ferry the next morning around 8:30am. it was quite a long bus ride to get to the ferry. I hope someday you all will get to see these places and hope you get to ride the ferry. it was so neat. the bus driver drove the huge ass bus on the big huge ass ferry! there are 7 decks and I hung out on the 6th. I sat outside most of the time and watch the seagulls and marveled over the beautiful landscape. so beautiful! wow!!! with United States on one side and Canada on the other, it was so cool!! it was about 90 minutes ferry ride, they have a full resturant, video games rooms, shops, and a few other things on board. right before the ferry docks, they told us to get back on the bus, car or whatever we came on board with. so back to the bus for me! haha!! the drive into downtown Victoria was so beautiful. about 40 minute drive. when we got to the bus station, my Friend Joan and her Daughter were waiting for me!! I was so happy to see them. we took of on our sightseeing adventure!
next Victoria show!!!

The Victoria Show!
with my Friend Joan and her Family, I was able to see some of the Vancouver Islands. got to see some beautiful scenery. beautiful mountains, beautiful streams of water. lots of water!! very mountainous areas. lots of boats docked on the water. we went to a pub and had what else? seafood! haha!! we went to the British Colombia museum. learned a lot about the indian tribes in the area. loved their artwork. did some shopping. it was fun. but the main reason I was there was for the show, right? haha! ok, back to the show!
my friend Joan's son in law had bought my ticket for the show, unbeknownst to everyone, he bought one for himself. he wanted to see what I was always talking about! haha!! Joan said she called the bar and they were opening the doors at 8pm. so Jeff and I took off to the Lucky Bar. when we got there, they told us, the doors didn't open till 9pm. but the guys were doing sound check so I was busy watching them play, they kicked us out of the bar. haha!! but I got to wave at the guys before I left. haha!! we hung around the place, the wind was coming off the water and it got colder and colder. so we decided to sit in the car till the doors open. good thing we found a parking space right across the street so we kept an eye on the door. I told him, if more fans show up, I'm getting in line cause I don't want to lose my front row spot! haha! around 9'ish we got in line and the guys came out of the bar, I was standing first in line and they saw me, they all came over and gave me a hug. Sascha had a funny look on his face when I told him, this is Jeff, my friend. haha!! Sascha was looking at me like, who is this guy and does Dave know who he is? haha!! I told Sascha, I'm staying with Jeff and HIS WIFE!! Sascha got a huge smile on his face and shook my friend's hand! haha!! the guys went next door to have some dinner, sascha told me the show will start around 10pm. they finally let us in and we got the seats near the stage, more and more fans started showing up. wow!! I told Jeff that if my german friends show up, I'm ditching him! haha!! I don't think he mind that at all. haha!~ the bosshoss fans showed up right before the show started, we were all yelling hellos to each other. the bar took their banner and put it up on the wall. that was so cool!!! I have pictures! which I will put up later! promise!! this time the bar was packed. I would say over 100 people. all very young good looking people! haha!!
the show started around 11pm, started with the sonic's BossHoss and the guys came on stage, same set list as vancouver and the shows in germany, but they looked very comfortable and were really into their songs. wow!!! they seemed much more relaxed than the Vancouver show. they were into the show from the start. the crowd went wild. everyone dancing and jumping up and down. they did everything Boss and Hoss told them to do! haha!! it was so cool!! Russ T Rocker went into the crowd again and went nuts on his guitar!! Hank Dirt was dancing on his chair again and went to town with his Harp~ Frank had problems with his Drums all night but he made the best of it and kept rocking!! life doesn't stop for rocker's right? haha!! ernesto broke a few of his insturments but damn!! still rocking!! didn't let that bother him, thats for sure!! Guss with his stand up bass, everytime he did a solo the crowd went nuts!! big smiles on his face too!! what can I say about Boss!! wow!! dancing his dance, swaying back and forth!! girls screaming!! awesome! even grabbed a girl and sang in her ear~! haha!! ohmygod, Hoss!! with him shooting his sweet smiles at everyone. all the girls swooning!! it was so cool!!! I've never seen him smile so much!! it was so awesome!
a lot of the comments I heard after the show were like, wow!! never knew that kind of music existed, or I'm so happy I came, I just heard their music this afternoon on the radio. or I hear them interviewed on the radio and decided to come check them out! I know for sure the guys found lots more new fans!! they are taking Canada by storm and nothing in their way to stop them!!
after the show, I was able to hang out for a little while. I again stole the poster off the walls! haha!! that was when Sascha told me about Dean. I wasn't sure if I had the right to tell you all about it, I didn't want to break confidence or something. so I was happy they posted it at the saloon. so I can now talk about it freely. I am so sad about Dean and Matt, but like Sascha says, the Band will go on! and ON they will!! all over Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if they tour there again. it was very hard for me to say good bye to all of them, but it was 3am and my bus to Vancouver was leaving around 6am. so I had to say good bye!! told them I would see them in Toronto, Hamilton and London. I'm so looking forward to that. oh and my friend Jeff? he ditched me!! I had to take a taxi back to his house! haha! no, he had to leave cause he had to work the next day, I mean, the show went on and on. he wished he could have stayed for the whole show. he loved what he heard tho! enough to buy a cd!! haha!
so with 2 hours of sleep, I boarded the bus to take me on the ferry and back to the airport. the neat thing about this was, I was able to see the sun come up over the water! what an awesome sight!! wow!! it was a nice way to end my time in Canada.
I got to the airport with plenty of time and was able to get thru customs. again went on and on about the band The BossHoss From Germany!! they have a website! www.thebosshoss.com!! check it out. haha!! I think the custom agent was happy to get rid of me! haha!
the flight home was different than going to canada, with Rocky Balboa on the big screen, lots of crying babies, active two year olds. teens arguing with their parents about wanting more freedom, two gay guys arguing about wanting kids, my Ipod freezing up because I showed some lady pictures of my weavings. haha!! I made it back to phoenix, got in my jeep, thinking I'll be home around 8pm, with some time to have a nice dinner with my Dave. damn! didn't work out that way, got stuck behind a huge accident and sat on the road for 4 hours before the cars started moving again. but hey!! I had my BossHoss music blasting the whole time and truckers asking me who that is. I end up telling them about The BossHoss From Germany, www.thebosshoss.com! haha!! made some friends with people while we waited for the roads to open. shared some of my food with them too. it was fun, but all in all, I would have prefered flying down the highway with my Rodeo Radio Blasting know what I mean? haha! I'm happy to be home, but damn!! I would do it again in a hearbeat!!
thanks to Boss, Hoss, Frank, Guss, Ernest, Hank Dirt and Russ T Rocker for a great time!! thanks also to my friend Joan for making me a part of her
family for a few days!!
next will be the Hamilton show on March 23rd! until then, thanks for reading my reviews, I know they are a bit long, but I had a fun time and wanted to share with you all!
love to all,
